The Underwater City

This week we have been writing some narratives. In our narrative writing we had to include similes alliteration and emotive language

Long ago there was an owl called Jerry, the thing with Jerry was he was depressed. He also had no friends and he lived all alone. One day he decided to go out and start adventuring and try to make some new friends. First he decided to fly up a gigantic tree to see if any owls up there would like to be his friends, but no one would.

The next place he decided to go was to a place where all the owls hang out. It was called Owl City. It was packed with all the owls in the whole world. Once he arrived there he asked some owls that he thought were also lonely if they wanted to be his friend. The answer he got was, I already have friends sorry. He then decided that he would go to the beach to see if not owls but seagulls would be his friends.

He flew all the way to the beach and stayed up in the air to search for some seagulls that could be his friends. Unfortunately the sky was empty as a blank piece of paper. He was looking down at the beach and he saw a shovel the was just left there stuck in the sand. He flew down to it and tried to get it out of the sand. While he was trying to pull it out. He pulled to one side and heard a noise. He found that there was a secret entrance to a hidden city. He flew through the very long tunnel. It was as long as a snake. Finally he reached the end of the tunnel.

He went through the doorway and found a miraculous mermaid Molly greeting him. He just then realized he couldn’t breath. He swam back to the tunnel to take a breath. Molly  then told him there is a shop where you can buy things so you can breath underwater. Molly offered to get him something from the shop so he wouldn’t have to swim underwater yet and Jerry said sure.

A couple minutes later Molly came back with a suit to help him breath. It fitted Jerry perfectly. Once he had put it on he started swimming around. He just then thought that he wasn’t feeling depressed anymore. He had made a friend. Molly the mermaid had become his friend. Molly then gave Jerry a tour around the underwater city and her house. Jerry thought that Molly’s house was so majestic. Molly also took him to some other mermaids in the city and to the ruler of the city to confirm if he could stay. The ruler of the city said “of course you can”. He was thrilled to have a friend.

After he had finished having a good time with his new friends, he went back home. He promised Molly he would visit every day and Molly was also very overjoyed.
